Cookies policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can manage them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help pages function, remember preferences, or—when you allow—measure how the site is used.
How we use cookies
Host Vertex Point uses essential cookies required for basic site operation and optional analytics cookies that run only if you accept them in the consent banner. Rejecting optional cookies does not block access to programme information or the contact form. More on personal data is in our privacy notice.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| hostvertexpoint_cookie_consent | Stores your accept or reject choice for the cookie banner | 1 year (localStorage) | Host Vertex Point |
| hv_session | Essential session continuity for form security tokens when enabled | Session | Host Vertex Point |
| _ga | Optional analytics: distinguishes visitors | 2 years | Google Analytics (only if accepted) |
| _ga_* | Optional analytics: maintains session state | 2 years | Google Analytics (only if accepted) |
Managing and disabling cookies
On your first visit you can Accept or Reject optional cookies via the banner. Your choice is stored under a brand-prefixed key in localStorage. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which will show the banner again on the next visit. Browser controls can block cookies entirely; essential features such as remembering consent may then reset each visit.
Third-party cookies
If you accept analytics, third-party cookies from the analytics provider may be set. Those providers have their own privacy policies. We do not load optional analytics until consent is given.
Impact of disabling
Disabling optional analytics does not affect programme pages, fees information, or enquiries. Blocking all cookies may clear your stored consent preference and cause the banner to reappear.
